Stinging insects begin to swarm in the late summer months.  Unfortunately, they may reside on homes causing unwanted swarms around the premises of your yard.

Even though we do not want these insects around our homes, they serve as pollinators which is very important to our agriculture.  Although many of these insects looks similar, they have different traits and play different roles within the animal kingdom.  One trait they all carry is they are very social insects and live in colonies with a division of labor and overlapping generations.
